2018 ADELAIDE HILLS 'NATIVE MULBERRY' TEROLDEGO

Teroldego with bright fruit aromatics reminiscent of native mulberries, and a slight savory edge.

This Northern Italian grape variety is usually made with minimal oak influence, and no oak in this case, to showcase its already complex savory aspects and fine tannins, as well as its racy acid structure and bright fruit characters.

This vineyard was planted by Sebastian's father, Geoff Hardy, and was the first commercial vineyard in the Kuitpo sub-region of the South Adelaide Hills, where wines are shaped by the coolness of the region's altitude. Geoff has been a leader in planting alternative and emerging varieties in Australia, planting some of the first Teroldego vines in the country.
